Animal Crackers

3 hour workshop

8” square finished blocks

Kit:$35.00 includes three $14.00 patterns, fabric blocks for the backgrounds, animal fabrics for choice of three animals

These little blocks are great for engaging children’s imagination. Surely they will become their favorite gift from Grandma. Plan to make at least one of the zebra, giraffe, or cow as they use unique techniques. All other animals are similar and you will want to make at least one of them. With this information and the patterns, you will be able to complete any of the animals.

Basic Class Supplies:

  • Sewing machine in good working order
  • Thread to match
  • 80/12 or 90/14 needles for paper piecing
  • Scissor that you don’t mind cutting paper

To bring your own fabrics:

If bringing your own fabrics, you will need to by the pattern or patterns of your choice for $14.00 each.

  • Background-8 1/2” squares for all animals except the zebra, cow, and Giraffe, which require 1/4 yard
  • Animals-1/3 yard of varying colors
  • Batting-1/3 yard 4 oz. Polyester bonded

Christmas, Pure and Simple

This sweet quilt will focus our celebrations and be a gentle reminder of why we love Christmas. There are several great techniques that will be perfected in this hands-on class. With this knowledge you will be able to complete many other wonderful designs. In a six hour class, the basic quilt top will be completed with additional instruction on silouetting with dimension, pin stretching, and framing. In a three hour class, Mary and the baby will be completed, with finishing techniques demonstrated.

Well Seasoned Welcome Wreath

Dimensional leaves and berries burst with color and beauty. There are several fabulour techniques that will be perfected in this hands-on class. A revolutionary way of placing fabric on odd angles, while paper piecing, and having the fabric fold back perfectly covering. One quarter of the quilt top will be finished in class with detailed instructions on how to finish your quilt top. The pattern comes with a Christmas and Spring variations and additional instructions for completing those quilts is included. Kit:$25.00 includes the pattern and everything needed to finish the quilt except the batting and backing. Basic Class Supplies:

Oh, Christmas Tree

Once you learn the fast and simple techniques in this dimensional paper pieced Christmas tree, you will want to make them as gifts. This hands-on class will give you the confidence and skill to create the advanced trapunto branches that make this a real work of art. Three hours will allow enough time to complete several sections of the tree and understand how to finish the quilt top. Six hours would allow the class to finish the quilt top.

  • Thread to match
  • 80/12 or 90/14 needles for paper piecing
  • Scissor that you don’t mind cutting paper
  • Cutting mat, ruler and rotary cutter

To bring your own fabrics: You will need to buy the pattern for $12.00

  • 1/3 yd. Background
  • There are 15 green sections in the tree
  • Colors may be repeated. The sections are 3 x 6 inches for the largest unit and 2×2 inches for the smallest.
  • 1/8 yard of green is needed for backing the sections of the dimensional tree.
  • There are five possible fabrics in the tree skirt. Fabrics can be repeated.
  • They measure 4 x 2 inches.
  • To back the dimensional tree skirt a piece of fabric measuring 4 x 8 inches is needed.
  • The ground the tree stands upon requires a piece of fabric 5×9 inches.
  • 1/4 yard Large Border
  • 1/6 yard Small Border
  • 1/3 yard Binding
