Once they are quilted the little characters pop just like they are hand appliquéd.  This design lends itself well to a classic masculine appearance that fits into the cabin or a young man’s décor.  I use it in my own home over a leather couch and it pulls all of the colors used throughout the room, making a great focal point.  We hope you enjoy this new addition to the gallery of quilts here at Thimbleart.

While there, I had to visit every quilt shop I found. They have a unique style, using reverse applique. I wanted to create one, but knew I’d never have the time to do all that hand work. So, I decided to create a quilt that uses dimensional foundation piecing, but has the same feel of the Hawaiian reverse applique. This takes a fraction of the time to create, and adds a third dimension.

With summer right around the corner, watch for this years beautiful tropical and Batiste fabrics.
