About Ruth

Ruth received her Bachelor’s degree in business merchandising with an emphasis in clothing and textiles. After working briefly for a clothing manufacturer, she took on the full-time responsibilities of mother of seven. Her four oldest children have since married, and Ruth now offers her own original technique of Dimensional Foundation Piecing. Her first patterns were published in 1991. She has since been prolific in creating over 70 completely original designs, including two books that have set a higher standard for instructional clarity. She has been published in several magazines. She and her husband, Greg, and their three younger children live in Provo, Utah.

Ruth can take the beginner, just learning to thread her machine, help her produce an advanced product and have a riot doing it. “It’s all about giving people a sense of ability and confidence that can build them and bring incredible joy.”
